CDSS Quarterly Stakeholder Call

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) will host its next Child Care & Development Quarterly Stakeholder Call on Thursday, Jan. 6th 1pm to 2:30 pm.
Though the child care and development transition is still in its infancy and has coincided with the implementation of historic investments in the child care and development system, CDSS is taking bold steps towards administrative reform.
Over the past quarter, the Child Care and Development Division (CCDD) has worked swiftly to redesign grant applications to remove administrative barriers. CCDD has also launched the Language Learner Project (LLP) to certify 100 family child care home and Family, Friend and Neighbor providers to teach other home-based child care providers to support the language acquisition skills of dual language learners. Additionally, the Department has partnered with the Resource and Referral Network to distribute $10 million in Resource and Referral (R&R) funding using an equity formula which takes into consideration child population and child poverty rates in the counties served.
This call will provide the field with updates concerning these initiatives and will also feature guest speakers from the California Resource &
Live, simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, Cantonese and American Sign Language will be provided as well as closed captioning.
