DESCRIPTION:This training guides caregivers in having meaningful conversations with children around race\, ability\, and gender. Participants will learn and practice concrete strategies for implementing the 4 Core Anti-bias Education goals in early learning environments to support and scaffold children’s ongoing growth and development. \n  \nDeminika Spears is an early childhood consultant and coach\, specializing in Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion training and support. With a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership\, she consults with organizations and schools about their equity plans and processes. \n  \nThis workshop will begin promptly at 10:00am. We recommend joining the Zoom waiting room a minimum of 15 minutes early\, so we can start on time. \n  \nCertificates of Attendance will be provided.

SUMMARY:Mindful Practices for Empowering Educators
DESCRIPTION:In this embodied online workshop\, participants will learn how to integrate movement\, yoga\, and breath work with children in order to increase social-emotional skill development (like confidence and resiliency)\, as well as practice ways to improve teacher physical\, mental\, and emotional health. \n  \nJustine Luong has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Neuromuscular Science and is a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. She has spent over 10 years working in the health and wellness field\, including the development of a wellness curriculum for the children and teachers at Big City Montessori School. \n  \nThis workshop will begin promptly at 1:30PM.
