Belonging - A Conversation In Community

(ENGLISH)

In community conversations with Early Care Educators of San Francisco including ECESF Focus Groups, teacher and core leader meetings—along with wages and benefits—educators emphasize the importance of being recognized, having agency, being heard, being included in information important to their work and life, and feeling like they can bring their full selves to the workplace. How do we make those transformations happen?

ECESF believes Belonging is an important place of focus for our community to improve workplace conditions and teachers wellbeing. As the new ECE for All Initiative (Prop C, 2018) funds roll out, grants for ECE programs to improve workforce conditions will be included. This is an important time to consider what creates Belonging at ECE worksites, among educator colleagues, and in our field.

Therefore, we invite our ECE community to review the resources from our ECESF Belonging Event presented by Michelle Murano on April 18, 2022:
