On November 16th & 19th, we hosted a joint public policy retreat for those that want to get involved and learn more about the state of child care and legislative & budget processes in California and locally in San Francisco as well as think big picture about our community needs and advocacy priorities for the upcoming advocacy year which begins in January.
The Policy 101 event and retreat were held in collaboration with San Francisco Child Care Planning and Advisory Council (CPAC). CPAC is the state-mandated Local Planning Council (LPC) which helps identify local priorities for child care and early education and the development of policies to meet these needs through meetings with stakeholders including educators, administrators, FCC providers, parents, and more.
