ECESF/CPAC Joint Workforce Meeting

April 29, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

  • This event has passed.

Early care educators directly providing care & education for young children must be involved in planning for safety with COVID-19 to develop a plan that meets community safety needs—including the safety of families, children, workforce, and the broader community. Our planning will focus on both emergency child care for essential workforce, and ECE & OST practice after Shelter in Place.

At this meeting we will continue the conversation from the last two Wednesdays, and share updates including the extended shelter in place and CDC phased roll out plan.

Agenda:

Issue: ECE is a group activity, and re-opening needs to be considered with the same care as K12 and colleges. How can emergency services to essential workers be provided while promoting community safety?

  1. Brief Context: What we know & what we don’t
  2. Quick review of emergency care, licensing and SF ratios
  3. Planning for reopening
    • Shared experiences from programs operating Emergency Child Care
    • CDC phased re-opening plan
    • Breakout discussions: planning ahead
  4. Making our needs known/advocacy
  5. Next meeting
