As CDE prepares for the upcoming transition of many Early Learning and Care (ELC) programs to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), they are looking toward opportunities to strengthen the California State Preschool Program (CSPP) and its role as the foundation of their newly launched P-3 approach.
The Early Learning and Care Division (ELCD) invites you to join an interactive webinar to solicit your input about how to improve state preschool in concert with their P-3 alignment work. ELCD staff will share updates on the CDE’s goals for CSPP and the impact of the transition of childcare programs moving to CDSS. Specifically, they will discuss how to improve administrative processes and quality standards for CSPP, how to support CSPP to provide fully-inclusive classrooms and dual immersion/multilingual program models, and how to ensure strong transitions from CSPP to Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and/or Kindergarten.
