Anna Wolde-Yohannes

Anna received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Politics from San Francisco State University and holds a Child Development Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care. She fell in love with preschool teaching while working abroad at an international preschool in 2014. Since then, she has taught in both private and public, big and small childcare sites across San Francisco and studied to earn a California Child Development Program Director Permit. As an early learning advocate, Anna enjoys engaging with the field through educator policy and advocacy groups, local equity committees, and professional learning communities. She has been a leader for the Bay Area Network for Diversity Training in Early Childhood (BANDTEC) Equity Leadership Project since 2018 engaging in awareness building, equity trainings, as well as creating an educator-led podcast series. In addition to her work at ECESF, Anna is a social-cultural equity dialogue training consultant with WJ DevelopMental Consultants presenting a training series which explores race-conscious education and social identity building.
