Thank you for coming to the 6th Annual Walk Around the Block!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Walk Around the Block today! We had over 500 early educators, children, parents, and community supporters at City Hall, and a total of over 1,000 walking and writing letters in neighborhoods throughout the city!

It was great to hear from Supervisor Norman Yee; Mawuli Tugbenyoh Legislative Aide to Supervisor Malia Cohen; Mission Neighborhood Center teacher and SFCCPA board member Patrick Romero; Family Child Care Association members and teachers Esperanza Estrada, and Jaqueline Beltran; and FacesSF E.D. Lawland Long; educator and OECE Citizens Advisory Committee member, Kim Garcia-Meza; and parents and Parent Voices representatives Un Un Che and Idell Wilson; as well as teachers, parents, children and their allies who came our from all over San Francisco. Thanks also to the recognition of the event from Assemblymember Chiu’s office by sending Legislative Aide Genesis Garcia, and Supervisor Tang’s office by sending interns Susie Gonzalez and Stephanie Chan.

Thanks for coming together to make some noise! Together we will be heard, and together we will make a difference.
