ECESF Community Healing Circles
December 19 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
“In the Circle, we are all equal. When in the Circle, no one is in front of you. No one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create Unity.”
-Dave Chief, Oglala Lakota
In profound ways, the global pandemic reminds us of our persistent need for security, community, and healing.
Healing Circles are spaces where individuals come together in small groups of support to listen and be listened to deeply by one another. They can help us find some stability and peace in the rounding waves of daily stress and uncertainty. In Circle, we ground ourselves in the present moment and a welcoming environment of acceptance where each person holds the agency to explore their own personal paths to peace and healing.
In the early care profession, we face a daily array of compounded challenges that few people outside of the field can understand.
Recognizing the weight upon our care professionals especially now, Early Care Educators of San Francisco is offering this free, 3-week community-support series of Community Healing Circles for early care educators to come together in reflection and nurturance with fellow peers who know what we’re going through. The Healing Circle is especially for teachers who are currently, or just before the pandemic were working directly with children, remotely or in person.
ECESF Community Healing Circles put relationships, listening, and hearing at the center of our community. Together, we explore ways of deepening our capacity to heal, alleviating our suffering, and finding meaning in both challenge and joy.
ECESF is organizing to make a difference. Get to know each other, get to know us. The series will be held on December 5, 12, and 19. Come to one or all three.
